Better presentation, same real property

Acceptable edit policy

Every image must remain a fair representation of the stay a guest will actually receive.

Last updated July 14, 2026

Usually allowed

  • Brightness, exposure, white balance, color, contrast, clarity, and realistic shadow recovery.
  • Perspective and horizon correction that does not make the room or lot look larger.
  • Realistic cleanup of temporary clutter, screens, mirrors, counters, and minor distractions when real condition is not hidden.
  • Warming or activating lights and fireplaces that visibly exist in the source.
  • Temporary guest-ready styling that does not change guest inventory or permanent features.

Never allowed

  • Inventing amenities, rooms, windows, views, paths, decks, water access, or permanent upgrades.
  • Changing room size, layout, furniture placement, fixture count, property condition, or protected address and safety information.
  • Adding or removing guest inventory such as dishes, cookware, glasses, appliances, beds, or seating.
  • Hiding damage, access limits, safety issues, neighboring conditions, or anything a guest needs to make an informed decision.

Lifestyle image rules

  • One or two fictional adults may appear only in the separate lifestyle concept, with the property remaining the main subject.
  • Children, recognizable real people, celebrity likenesses, extra reflected people, staged influencer posing, unsafe or sexualized scenes, and malformed anatomy are rejected.
  • The lifestyle concept cannot add food, drinks, luggage, furniture, guest inventory, activities, amenities, or scenery that the source does not support.

Human review can override a request

A submitted instruction is not automatic approval. We may reduce, reject, or skip an edit when the source does not support it or when the result could mislead a guest.
